eMap is a map based information system to manage electricity distribution network management, either network asset or its electrical connectivity. This system manages network starts from main guardhouses to customers and is developed to increase PLN business operational efficiency.

eMap provides not only geographic oriented visualization that covering tools, structure, circuit, and customers in a single distribution network, but more than that, it is able to analyze electricity network flow as well as its reliability.

The ability to analyze network reliability makes this system into a tool in anticipating future changes, especially electrical power distribution network condition in the future and concerning about potential customer growth in order to anticipate unbalance of electricity demand and electricity supply availability.

The benefit and superiority of this system are as follows:

1. Analyze network in order to maintain and increase quality, efficiency, and reliability of distribution network that include network upgrading, rehabilitation, and expansion.
2. Integrated with Customer Information System (CIS) in carrying out New Installment Proposal, Power Alteration, Multifunction, and Third Party Request service.
3. Able to update drawing data together with update in CIS.
4. Able to create plan drawing, simulate network reliability above its existing network, and generate Expense Budget all at once.
5. Have the ability to automatically all connections adjustment if there is any new network object insertion.
6. Connected to disruption handling service via Call Center.
7. Accommodate maneuver process in a network maneuver, either in order to localize or normalize soot if there is any soot disruption.
8. Provide composite SAIDI – SAIFI reports (TR and TM).
9. Accommodate the need of Strains and Distribution Guardhouse Load Measurement activity.
10. Creating Losses Report.
11. Monitor operation target location map and P2TL clearance result.
12. Accommodate the need of PJU legalization and metering.

This system is developed to meet the demand of PLN electricity network monitoring, either its asset or its network connection. It leaves from the difficulty to monitor network condition manually, especially when there is network disruption.

eMap has been used in PLN Lhokseumawe Branch, PLN Pontianak Branch, and PLN Bali Branch since 2007.
