Jemursari Surabaya Islamic Hospital has performed a “Soft Launching” of Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) on Saturday, November 29th, 2008. Ministry of Communication and Information (Menkominfo), Muhammad Nuh, was present at this special moment. The hospital uses Avesina Health System for its HMIS that is developed by the experts from Infoglobal. At this moment, the system was introduced to all stakeholders of the hospital and audiences. In his speech, Muhammad Nuh said that Information Technology (IT) -- such as Avesina Health System – were needed by hospitals in serving entire societies. He hoped that IT could be ready to facilitate the hospital in serving society health. “Health needs technology by using IT. Like today, Avesina that launched is a network administration connecting one hospital to another hospital,” said Muhammad Nuh. At the moment that was performed in the 2nd meeting room of Jemursari Islamic Hospital, Marketing Manager of Infoglobal, Rahmat Pristiwahyono, also gived a presentation about the system. Through his presentation, Rahmat explained that Avesina has been developed with capability in connecting more than one hospital, connecting between internal and external parties, and between stakeholders of the hospital. Jemursari Islamic Hospital has given trust and commitment to Infoglobal to implement the systems in the hospital area. Prime director of Jemursari Islamic Hospital, dr. Heru Ariyadi, MPH, said that after testing for more than 1 month, this software that manages information from registration, patient services, medical record, inventory, distribution, accounting and finance, billing, until human resources, was ready to implement in all units since December 2008.
