SEAMON


Seamon is a monitoring system of a waters situation in an area that involved surveillance tools installed in that area, either fixed or mobile tools afloat, together with its supporting software. Data captured by surveillance tools is able to be monitored locally at the installed tools or sent to other location, e.g. command headquarters, to be remotely and cohesively monitored. 

Surveillance tools used in this system is a surface radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), and long distance camera. Data captured from those tools, either automatically or manually, is processed using Data Processing application to result a set of data in a certain form and structure that is easily transmitted to other location, either to local system or to centrally system. Getting inputted to the database, the data will able to be displayed in a map based Display Systems in those two locations.

Data of moving objects data in waters area captured by radar as well as AIS data sent by ships (the ships that are equipped with international standard AIS) sailing around the installed tools illustrate the waters traffic condition of an area within those tools coverage. Data integration from both sources is advance analyzed to result information of identified object and unidentified object that it is more suitable to be watched in monitoring waters situation. Camera’s shoot toward unidentified objects is required to add visual information of the object. The information is proper as source for decision maker to execute any essential action.

Integration of some surveillance station will result as the hint of waters situation in the sea or strait, depends on the installed tools’ location and coverage. With information addition from other sources (internal), SeaMont becomes a more complete surveillance system for maritime area and it is very helpful in decision making process.

This system is developed to meet the customer demand to monitor waters situation, for related government institution or non government. This system is relevant to implement due to 2/3 area of Indonesia is water (sea).The benefit of this system's implementation are:

  1. Help to provide real data about the waters situation in a certain area.
  2. Work up to identify objects in waters that are more suitable to be watched in monitoring waters situation.
  3. Work up this system into an aid in decision making toward the suspected objects faster and has keynoted.
  4. Develop pilot project that is part of C4ISR system (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligance, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance). 

The system is developed using technology eminence as follows:

  1. Data processing radar is developed by domestic experts by developing their own algorithm.
  2. Data communication ability of multi-thread, multi point, and interoperable inter location.
  3. The system is equipped with the ability to integrate radar data and AIS from one more sources using our own algorithm.

The system is equipped with multi-tasking, multi-user, and multi-point connection ability.
