Indonesia Purchases KAAN Fighter Jets, Turkish Aerospace, Partner of Infoglobal

President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, announced on Wednesday, 11 June 2025, that his country will export 48 domestically produced KAAN fifth-generation fighter jets to Indonesia, in line with the latest defense agreement, as reported by Anadolu.

This will mark the first export deal for Türkiye’s advanced fighter jet, which is still under development. Türkiye will manufacture the 48 fighter jets domestically before delivering them to Indonesia.

According to Tempo, Erdo?an added that Indonesia’s local capabilities would be integrated into the production process of the twin-engine fighter jets.

“I hope this agreement, which highlights the progress and achievements of our national defense industry, will bring benefits to both Türkiye and Indonesia,” said Erdo?an.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), the manufacturer of KAAN, stated that the 48 fighter jets will be equipped with engines made in Türkiye. The agreement between Indonesia and Türkiye covers not only the export of KAAN jets to Indonesia, but also technology transfer, knowledge sharing, and the development of local defense industry capabilities.

As one of Indonesia’s defense companies with expertise in avionics development, radar data processing, mission systems, as well as C4ISR and aerospace technologies, Infoglobal has the potential to be involved in the fighter jet production process.

Infoglobal is fully committed to provide its support as one of the key partners of Turkish Aerospace Industries, particularly in the development of defense technologies, while also strengthening the synergy between the defense industries of both countries through the integration of local technological capabilities.
